9th GRADE CURRICULUM
ENGLISH 11: Honors 9th Grade English is an accelerated Pre-AP coursedesigned for students who are highly competent and motivated in bothreading and writing. Students will cover a variety of materialincluding:
--Edith Hamilton's Mythology
--The Odyssey
--Romeo and Juliet
--Cyrano De Bergerac
--A Tale of Two Cities
--Great American Short Stories
ENGLISH 12: College Preparatory 9th Grade English is a 
course fora motivated, college-bound student. This course expects students toread, write, think, and speak at high levels. The work load is rigorous,but not as fast-paced as the honors course. Students will cover avariety of material including:
--To Kill a Mockingbird
--Of Mice and Men
--The Odyssey
--Romeo and Juliet
