About Us

Our Vision of the Graduate:
We know that in the age of information and the shift to a global economy, students who graduate from the Bethel Public Schools are going to need to demonstrate skills and knowledge, which prepare them for college and/or career readiness. In the literature, these skills are sometimes referred to as 21st Century Skills, which we are now referring to as global competencies. We expect that students who graduate from the Bethel Public Schools be proficient in all skill  areas.  These areas include: Collaboration, Creativity and Innovation and Critical Thinking. We also felt that it was critical to develop a common definition of each competency, key skills embedded within the competency and define “what it looks like” when a student is demonstrating those skills in the form of rubrics.
