What is #BHSreads?
The #BHSreads program was created to promote a lifelong love of reading throughout the BHS community.
This year, the #BHSreads program will be centered around this question:
How do our experiences (as readers and in our own lives) help prepare us to be members of a greater community?
Program Description:
BHS students are encouraged to enjoy their reading! Please feel free to review the "Teacher Titles" suggested by BHS faculty members for potential books OR select a title of their own choice.
Upon return to school, English teachers will devote a class period to celebrating summer reading. Students will be asked to complete a Google Form reporting any summer reading titles. Additional work while reading is not required. However, any personal method such as note-taking, sticky notes, sketching, etc. is encouraged.
Teachers will provide instructions for a related activity at the beginning of the school year. English teachers will determine the activity description and value.
Students enrolled in Honors and AP Courses should consult this page for their assigned coursework.
