Prerequisite: Successful completion of eighth grade math
Description: Students work with functions, absolute value, square roots, monomials and polynomials; use equations, inequalities, proportions, and formulas to model situations and solve real world problems. They define and graph linear, absolute value, and exponential functions; solve and graph systems of equations.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Common Core 8 Mathematics and Recommendation of Eighth Grade Mathematics Teacher
Description: This course is designed for identified students of high mathematical ability who excelled in CC-8 and are ready for the challenge of an honors level course. Students in this course learn the same Common Core Algebra I standards material listed in Algebra I 12, but with a wider scope, greater depth, and more intensive pace.
