Please access the Program of Studies to view the exciting courses
that the social studies department offers. All students must take 3.5

of these courses ranging from honors (approval of teacher) to
collaborative. These required courses are:
- Ancient World History (Grade 9)

- *Civics
*The
Civics requirement may be fulfilled by either our Civics & American
Government, Introduction to Law or Contemporary Issues courses.
In
addition, we offer four Advanced Placement courses - AP United States
History (fulfills the Grade 11 requirement), AP European History, AP
Psychology and AP Human Geography.
We encourage all students to
enroll in as many of our elective course offerings as they can fit into
their schedule. There are 10 electives to choose from including
Psychology, Facing History & Ourselves

college credit to students that successfully complete the class).
